Product FAQ

Q. What is the age range of your tricycles?

Our tricycles cater for ages from 2 1/2 years through to adult. The age range for a product is only a guide to choosing the model size, for a more accurate guide please check the Inside Leg Measurement for foot propelled tricycles. The key dimension for Handcycles is the Centre of Seat to Pedals measurement.

Our sizing chart will guide you to the most suitable size of tricycle.

Contact us if you need any assistance or advice with the product dimensions.

Q. How do I transport and store your larger tricycles?

All TRIAID tricycles with the exception of the IMP and Terrier models are supplied with a frame folding mechanism as part of the standard specification. This allows the tricycle to be split into two sections for easier storage or transportation. This feature is available as an option on the Terrier model.

Q. Is there any assistance available for funding?

TRIAID has close links with a number of charities and organisations which provide funding assistance for the purchase of our cycles. We have developed these links over the years and are now either the sole supplier or prefererred supplier with many of these organisations.

Please see our funding assistance section or contact us for advice on the application procedure.

The Standard Tri-Lo is designed for children from around 5 to nine years. Larger wheels provide greater comfort over bumpy ground.

The second size in the range has greater capacity for adjustment for growth. It features the same drive and seating configuration as the Mini Tri-Lo but the larger wheels provide greater comfort when cycling.

A padded seat, padded backrest and pelvic strap provide good seating support when cycling. Locking parking brakes are fitted to both rear wheels and a progressive back pedal brake is fitted to the hand drive unit for controlling the speed and stopping. The new independant footplates can adjust in height, angle and width for greater support and comfort.

Positioning accessories can be added to provide greater posutural contol. A parent handle can be added if assistance when pedalling is required and a rear carrier basket can also be fitted to provide carrying capacity for essential toys and supplies.

The convenience of using the Tri-Lo is a key criteria in its design, a large seat and a low step through frame allow easier transfers from a wheelchair or a seated position. The ability for the rider to transfer independently is a very important benefit of the Tri-Lo range. The addition of quick release rear wheels and a frame folding facility allows the Tri-Lo to be transported easily in a car or stored in a more compact manner.
